Equity distribution
How a range's combos spread out by equity against the other player's range, from air to the nuts.

- What it means
- An equity distribution is a histogram: each bar is a band of equity, and its height is the share of the range's combos whose equity falls in that band. Its shape tells you whether a range is polarized, linear or condensed.
- How it is calculated
- The app runs every combo of the range through the equity engine against the other range and sorts the results into 10 bands of 10 points each. Combos at 65% or more count as strong, under 35% as weak, and the rest as the middle.
- Worked example
- A button range that bets its best 20% of hands and its weakest 20% shows two humps on the chart, one above 80% equity and one under 30%, with a gap in the middle.
- Why it matters
- Seeing a range as a shape, not a list of hands, is how you pick a bet size for the whole range at once.
