The short version
Solved Hand is a personal trainer with no ads. Nothing you type, and no hand you play or import, is sent to an analytics service. Signing in with an invited Google account protects access, and progress is stored in MongoDB Atlas so you can continue on another device.
What is stored on your device
Your drill history, stats, settings, villain profiles and any hand histories you import are saved in your browser's local storage. The app also saves its own pages and files in your browser's cache so it works offline. After unlocking, this progress, including imported hand histories, is also saved to your private MongoDB Atlas database.
A backup you export is a file on your device. Where it goes after that is up to you.
What the server sees
Like any website, the server that hosts the app receives the technical details your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page asked for. The hosting provider may keep these in routine access logs for security and to keep the site running. We do not use them to identify you, and we do not combine them with anything else.
Progress requests go to this app's server, which saves them to your MongoDB Atlas database. Fonts and scripts are served by the app.
Sign-in is run by the Better Auth library. When its dashboard is connected, the app sends Better Auth a record of each sign-in and sign-out (your name, email address, the time, and the IP address and browser used), and the owner can see and end sessions there. No practice data is sent.
If you ask to be told when the trainer opens, your email address and the date are saved in the app's MongoDB Atlas database. It is used only to send that one message.
Usage statistics
The app counts which pages are opened with Vercel Web Analytics, run by Vercel, which hosts this site. Each count carries the page address, the site you came from, and the browser, operating system and country Vercel works out from the request.
No cookie is set and nothing is saved in your browser for this. Vercel tells visits apart with a code made from the request that changes every day, so a visitor cannot be followed from one day to the next. Counts are not linked to your account, and your name, your email address, anything you type, your hands and your results are not sent. No recording of your screen is made.
Deleting your data
Clearing this site's browser data removes its local copy and locks this device. Your cloud progress remains and loads again when you unlock the app. To delete it permanently, delete your progress document in the MongoDB Atlas dashboard. Export a backup from the settings page first if you want to keep it.
Children
The app is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Your rights
We are based in Ontario, Canada, and handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Your progress is held in your MongoDB Atlas database, and you can access or delete it through its dashboard.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
