Multiway c-bet
A continuation bet into two or more callers, made far less often than heads up.

- What it means
- Heads up, the preflop raiser can c-bet a dry flop with almost every hand. With two callers, one of them has usually hit something, so the c-bet is kept for strong hands.
- How it is calculated
- The rule of thumb c-bets into two players only with 50% or more equity against both ranges at once, on any board, and checks the rest. It is a simplification that ignores bet size and position.
- Worked example
- On K♠ 7♦ 2♣ the heads-up rule c-bets ace high. Against two callers ace high is far below 50% against both ranges at once, so it checks, while a strong top pair still bets.
- Why it matters
- Automatic c-bets into two callers burn chips: the bet has to get through both ranges, and the one who connected calls or raises.
