How to use it

Press a card slot, then pick its card from the deck. A card in play is greyed out everywhere else, so the same card cannot be dealt twice. Press "Use a range" to give a seat a range such as QQ+, AKs instead of two cards. Add up to nine seats and up to five board cards.

With few cards left to deal the calculator counts every board. Before the flop there are too many, so it deals 100,000 boards with a fixed seed: the error is a few tenths of a point, and a shared link always shows the same numbers. Copy the link under the results to post a hand in a forum or a chat.

A worked example

Suited ace-king against a pair of queens, all in before the flop, is close to a coin flip: the queens win about 54% of the time. Put the queens on a flop of 10♠ 9♥ 2♣ and they climb past 70%, because the ace-king now needs one of its six live overcards on the turn or river. Open the table under the results to see what each hand makes by the river.

Odds, equity and the price of a call

Win and tie are counts of boards. Equity adds half of every two-way tie and is your share of the pot if the cards were run out. Compare it with the , which the pot odds calculator works out from the pot and the bet. For one range against another, use the equity calculator; for every preflop matchup on its own page, see preflop matchups.
