Add-on
A one-time top-up offered to every player at the end of the rebuy period, whatever their stack.

- What it means
- Unlike a rebuy, the add-on is offered once, to every player still in, regardless of stack size, usually right at the end of the rebuy period.
- How it is calculated
- Priced the same way as a rebuy: cost per chip against the original buy-in's. Add-ons commonly sell more chips for the same money than the original buy-in did, which makes the cost per chip lower.
- Worked example
- A $20 buy-in for 3,000 chips costs $0.00667 a chip. A $20 add-on for 6,000 chips costs $0.00333 a chip, half price: a 50% discount on the buy-in's chips.
- Why it matters
- Because it is open to every stack at a price that is usually a discount, the add-on is close to always worth taking, unlike a rebuy, which only pays for a stack that needs it.
