Last updated
- What it means
- Where there is no room for a drawn card, a card is written as two characters: the rank and then the first letter of the suit.
- How it is calculated
- The rank is one of A K Q J T 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2, with T for ten. The suit is s for spades, h for hearts, d for diamonds or c for clubs.
- Worked example
- As is the ace of spades, Td the ten of diamonds and 2c the two of clubs. A hand of As 6s is one of the 4 ways to hold A6s.
- Why it matters
- Hand histories from poker sites use this notation, so the hand history importer shows it too. Where there is room, the app draws the card or writes the suit symbol instead.
