Mental game
How your state of mind, such as tilt, tiredness or focus, changes the quality of your decisions.

- What it means
- The mental game is everything off the cards that affects how well you play: frustration after a bad beat (tilt), fatigue late in a long session, or being fully focused.
- How it is calculated
- On the stats page you tag each session as focused, tired, tilted. A session is a run of decisions with no break longer than 30 minutes. The page then compares the EV you lost per decision under each tag.
- Worked example
- Over 300 focused decisions you lose 0.05bb each; over 80 tilted ones you lose 0.18bb each. Tilt costs you more than three times as much per decision, so stop when you notice it.
- Why it matters
- It is easy to believe you play the same when tired or tilted. Your own numbers by tag show how much it costs, and when to quit a session.
