EV loss per decision
The average EV your mistakes cost on each EV-graded decision, in big blinds.

- What it means
- EV loss per decision is the total EV loss across a set of decisions, divided by how many of them were graded by EV. It is the same measure as EV loss per 100, a hundred times smaller.
- How it is calculated
- Add the EV loss on every EV-graded decision in the group and divide by the number of those decisions. Decisions graded only by frequency are left out of both sides.
- Worked example
- You lose 4.5bb in total over 90 EV-graded decisions in tilted sessions: 4.5 ÷ 90 = 0.05bb per decision, or 5bb per 100.
- Why it matters
- It lets groups of very different sizes be compared fairly, such as a few tilted sessions against many focused ones.
