Position
Where you sit relative to the button, which decides the order you act in.

- What it means
- At a 6-max table the seats are UTG, MP, CO, BTN, SB and BB. The button acts last on every street after the flop, which is a large advantage.
- How it is calculated
- Preflop, action starts left of the big blind and ends with the blinds. After the flop, the player nearest the button's left acts first.
- Worked example
- In this app's 100bb charts UTG opens about 11% of hands because five players are still to act. The button opens about 46% because only the blinds remain.
- Why it matters
- Correct ranges depend heavily on position, which is why every chart in this app is separate for each seat.
