RFI
Everyone before you folded; do you raise or fold?
Last updated
- What it means
- RFI is the spot where the action folds to you and you are the first to put money in voluntarily. Your options are raise or fold, since limping is rarely best.
- How it is calculated
- Each seat has an RFI range, and it widens the closer you sit to the button.
- Worked example
- Folded to you on the button, you raise to 2.5bb with about 46% of hands in this app's 100bb charts. From UTG the same decision uses about 11%.
- Why it matters
- RFI spots are the most common preflop decisions you face, and the easiest to drill until they are automatic.
