Range
The full set of hands a player could have in a spot, rather than one specific hand.

- What it means
- Good players reason about ranges: every hand the opponent would play this way, each weighted by how often they would.
- How it is calculated
- Ranges are written in shorthand such as "22+, AJs+, KQo", and drawn on a 13 × 13 grid of hand classes.
- Worked example
- "TT+" means tens, jacks, queens, kings and aces: 5 pairs × 6 combos = 30 combos, about 2.3% of all 1,326 starting hands.
- Why it matters
- You can never see the opponent's cards, so every equity and EV number in this app is computed against a range.
