Blocker
A card in your hand that removes combos from your opponent's range.
Last updated
- What it means
- A card you hold cannot also be in your opponent's hand, so it reduces how many combos of certain hands they can have.
- How it is calculated
- Recount the combos of the opponent's hands with your cards removed from the deck.
- Worked example
- With no ace in your hand, the opponent can have 6 combos of AA and 16 of AK. Holding one ace cuts that to 3 combos of AA and 12 of AK.
- Why it matters
- Blockers change how often an opponent can call or fold. That is why hands like A5s make good bluffing and shoving hands.
