Aggression factor
How often a player bets or raises compared with how often they call.
Last updated
- What it means
- Aggression factor, or AF, compares a player's bets and raises with their calls. It is the vertical axis of the profile chart: passive at the bottom, aggressive at the top.
- How it is calculated
- AF = (bets + raises) ÷ calls. Here it is estimated from each profile's multipliers for 3-bets, continuation bets, calling 3-bets and folding to continuation bets.
- Worked example
- A player who bets or raises 30 times and calls 12 times has an AF of 30 ÷ 12 = 2.5. A calling station sits near 0.9.
- Why it matters
- A passive player's bet means strength, so fold more to it. An aggressive player bluffs more, so call down lighter and let them keep betting.
