- What it means
- In estimate mode the drill asks for a number before it asks for an action. The estimate is graded on its own, separate from the decision.
- How it is calculated
- The estimate is compared with the exact value. Within 3 points is Best, within 6 Correct, within 10 an Inaccuracy, within 20 Wrong, and further out a Blunder.
- Worked example
- You call 9bb to win a 20bb final pot, so you need 45% equity. An answer of 40% is 5 points out and grades as Correct. An answer of 30% is 15 points out and grades as Wrong.
- Why it matters
- Doing the math before seeing the answer builds the instinct you need at a real table, where no one tells you the price.
