Range score
How closely a range you painted matches the chart, weighted by combos, from 0% to 100%.

- What it means
- In Build the range you paint an opening range from memory. The range score compares your painting with the chart cell by cell.
- How it is calculated
- Each hand counts by its combos: 6 for a pair, 4 for a suited hand and 12 for an offsuit hand. The error is the combos you added or left out, with a hand the chart plays half the time counting half. The score is 1 − error ÷ combos in either range, so folding the right hands earns nothing on its own.
- Worked example
- The chart plays AA and AKs, and AKo half the time: 6 + 4 + 6 = 16 combos. You paint all three, 22 combos. The error is the 6 extra AKo combos, so the score is 1 − 6 ÷ 22, about 73%.
- Why it matters
- Single-hand drills test one cell at a time. Painting the whole range tests its shape, which is what you carry to the table.
