LAG
Loose-aggressive: a player who enters many pots and keeps up the pressure.

- What it means
- A LAG plays a wide range and bets and raises it often. A skilled LAG is hard to play against; an extreme one becomes a maniac.
- How it is calculated
- The LAG preset steals 40% more than GTO, 3-bets 50% more and folds to continuation bets 20% less, which gives a VPIP near 35% and an AF near 3.
- Worked example
- A LAG opens 45% of hands from the button and 3-bets you three times in 20 hands. Most of those hands are not premium.
- Why it matters
- Their ranges are wide, so 3-bet them lighter, call down with more bluff catchers, and let them bluff into your strong hands.
