TAG
Tight-aggressive: a player who enters few pots but bets and raises when they do.

- What it means
- A TAG plays a narrow, strong range and plays it forcefully. It is the style of most solid regulars, and sits low on VPIP and high on aggression factor.
- How it is calculated
- The TAG preset opens and defends slightly less than GTO, 3-bets 20% more and continuation-bets 30% more, which gives a VPIP near 23% and an AF near 3.7.
- Worked example
- A TAG opens 16% of hands from the cutoff and 3-bets aces, kings and a few bluffs. When they bet the turn twice in 10 hands, they usually have it.
- Why it matters
- Their ranges are strong, so pay them off less. Steal their blinds and fold marginal hands to their raises instead of calling them down.
