Path unit
A short group of related skills on the path, done once every skill in it is Solid or has passed its session.

- What it means
- The path splits the 4 levels into 33 units of a few related skills each, such as opening the pot or facing an open, with each level's exam after its last unit.
- How it is calculated
- A skill on the path is done when its mastery reaches Solid, or when you pass a session on it: the lesson, 2 worked examples, then 10 graded spots scoring at least 80% on that skill, with about 20% of the spots reviewing earlier skills. A unit is done when all its skills are and you pass its table checkpoint, or when you pass its level's exam or placement. The first unit that is not done is your current one, and Continue takes you to its first skill that is not yet done. Units after it stay locked until you get there, or until you test out of one: a quiz of 8 questions over its skills, scoring at least 80%, opens the path up to and including that unit. Every page in the app stays open either way.
- Worked example
- Opening the pot has 3 skills: late, early and small blind opens. With late opens Solid, the unit shows 1 of 3 and Continue opens a session on early position opens; at 3 of 3 Continue sits you at the table for the unit's checkpoint, and passing it makes Which hands to play current.
- Why it matters
- A few related skills at a time is easier to learn than every skill at once, and finishing a unit before the next keeps the basics under the harder spots.
