Postflop calls
Calling or folding after the flop when the price is exact: facing an all-in, or a bet on the river.

- What it means
- Some postflop decisions need no solver. When the villain is all-in, or it is the river, no more betting can follow, so the call is right exactly when your equity beats the equity you need.
- How it is calculated
- Your equity against the villain's range comes from the engine, which enumerates or samples every runout. The equity you need is the call ÷ the final pot. Call when equity is higher, fold when it is lower.
- Worked example
- On the river the pot is 20bb and the villain bets 10bb. You call 10bb to win a 40bb final pot, so you need 25%. Against a range that bets many bluffs your bluff-catcher has 32%, so the call earns 0.32 × 40 − 10 = 2.8bb.
- Why it matters
- Earlier in a hand, implied odds and later bets blur the math. These spots are the pure form of pot odds against a range.
