Pure spot
A decision where the solver always takes the same action with the hand.

- What it means
- In a pure spot one action is played 100% of the time. There is a single right answer, unlike a mixed spot where more than one action is correct.
- How it is calculated
- A hand is pure in a spot when its chart or solution gives one action all the frequency. The pure-spots skill collects every such decision you are dealt.
- Worked example
- Aces raise 100% from every position, and 72o folds 100% under the gun. Both are pure, though only the ones near the edge of a range are hard.
- Why it matters
- Pure spots should be close to perfect. Mistakes here are clear errors, not judgment calls, and are the cheapest to fix.
