Shove
To bet all of your chips at once; the same thing as going all in.

- What it means
- A shove is an all-in bet or raise. Push and jam mean the same. A shove over someone else's raise is a re-shove.
- How it is calculated
- Once you shove there is nothing left to decide: the other players call or fold, and if anyone calls the cards are turned over and the board is dealt out.
- Worked example
- With 10bb in the small blind, everyone folds to you and you shove. The big blind, who has already posted 1bb, must call 9bb more or fold.
- Why it matters
- With a short stack a normal raise would commit most of your chips anyway, so shoving wins the blinds and antes more often and leaves no hard decision after the flop.
