Single-raised pot
A pot where there was one raise and one or more calls before the flop.

- What it means
- In a single-raised pot, nobody re-raised preflop, so the pot and the ranges are both at their widest.
- How it is calculated
- Pot size = the open, plus each caller's matching amount, plus any blinds that folded.
- Worked example
- The button opens to 2.5bb, the small blind folds and the big blind calls. The pot is 2.5 + 2.5 + 0.5 = 5.5bb.
- Why it matters
- Most flops you see are single-raised pots, so they are where postflop practice starts.
