Facing 3-Bet
You raised and someone re-raised; do you fold, call or raise again?
Last updated
- What it means
- You made the opening raise before the flop and another player re-raised. The action is back on you.
- How it is calculated
- Choose between folding, calling the re-raise or raising again with a 4-bet, using your seat and stack depth.
- Worked example
- You open the cutoff to 2.5bb with QQ and the button raises to 8bb. You decide whether to fold, call or 4-bet.
- Why it matters
- A re-raise narrows the opponent's range and increases the price of continuing, changing which hands are worth playing.
