High card
The highest rank on the flop, from ace down to two.
Last updated
- What it means
- The rank of the flop's top card. A-high and K-high flops favor the preflop raiser, who holds more big cards; low flops favor the caller.
- How it is calculated
- Read the highest of the three flop cards. The report groups flops by it and charts each action's frequency for every high card.
- Worked example
- On K♠9♠5♦ the high card is a king; on 7♦7♣3♠ it is a seven.
- Why it matters
- It is one of the strongest predictors of how often the solver bets, so comparing high cards shows where a range bets small and often and where it checks.
