Hand reading
Exact questions about a board, answered by the hand evaluator rather than a solver.

- What it means
- The reading page asks four kinds of question: which hand is the nuts, what hand you have, which of four hands beats you, and how many combos in a range beat you.
- How it is calculated
- Every answer comes from the same evaluator the equity engine uses. It scores each possible hand on the board, so the right answer is exact, and ties never count as beating you.
- Worked example
- You hold A♠Q♦ on K♥Q♣7♠2♦. Against a range of TT+, AQs+ and AKo, the engine counts 16 combos that beat your pair of queens: 3 of KK, 3 of AA, the 1 QQ left for a set, and the 9 AK still possible.
- Why it matters
- Postflop decisions start from knowing where your hand stands. Counting the combos that beat you is the first step toward judging equity against a range.
